Workers for agriculture, horticulture and green services
Nature sets the pace. When the harvest, the planting season or the Christmas trees call, we help with farm workers, gardeners, landscape gardeners, forestry workers and seasonal workers.

A year in the green sector
Work in agriculture, horticulture and green services follows the seasons, and so does the need for people:
- Spring: Sowing, planting and preparing fields, greenhouses and green spaces. Landscape gardeners start on the projects that have been waiting all winter.
- Summer: Harvesting grain, berries and vegetables, mowing, watering and upkeep. At the same time, permanent staff need to take their holidays.
- Autumn: Potatoes, root vegetables and apples need to be harvested, and leaves cleared. Felling and selling Christmas trees and decorative greenery takes many hands in the run-up to Christmas.
- Winter: Pruning, forestry work, machinery maintenance and winter services with snow clearing and gritting.
If there is uncertainty about when the harvest or planting will start, give an expected period and how flexible it is. Then we can plan, even though the final date depends on the weather.
From farmyard to park
Farming and livestock
In livestock production, the animals need looking after every day, including at weekends and on public holidays. Farm workers help with feeding, milking, cleaning barns and caring for animals, while fieldwork requires people who can drive a tractor and operate machinery.
Many livestock farms have fixed biosecurity rules, such as changing clothes, showering and quarantine after contact with other herds. Tell us about the rules, so we can take them into account when we find people.
Horticulture and plant nurseries
In horticultural businesses and plant nurseries, the work involves planting out, tending, pruning, packing and preparing plants for sale. The tasks can often be learnt quickly, but pace and care matter a lot.
Landscape gardening
Landscape gardeners build and maintain gardens, parks and communal areas. This can include paving, planting, hedge trimming, lawns and minor earthworks with a mini excavator.
Forestry
Forestry workers plant, tend and fell trees. Working with a chainsaw is dangerous and requires both experience and proper training.
Driving licences, courses and machinery
Tell us which machines the worker will operate, and whether there are requirements such as:
- A driving licence for a tractor or for a car with a trailer
- A spraying certificate (sprøjtecertifikat), if plant protection products are to be applied
- A course in chainsaw use and tree felling
- Experience with milking systems, feeding systems or special machinery
The practical side of seasonal work
Seasonal work often takes place some distance from towns and with early start times. So it is a good idea to clarify in advance:
- How the worker gets to the workplace
- Whether accommodation is available during the season
- Who provides workwear, rainwear and protective equipment
- How the working day is planned when the weather changes
- Which language instructions and safety rules are given in, so everyone understands them
Getting started
We staff with our own people and with workers from approved partner companies, so we can help with both a single relief worker and a team for the whole season. You have one contact person with us. We review your request and come back with a specific proposal before anything is agreed. Use the Book workers form, or read more about how labour hire works.
