Welders
Hire a certified welder for your specific welding job
Process, material and position determine which welder you need. Tell us what needs welding, and we will look for a welder with the right certificates and the right experience.

Welding is about detail – and so is the booking
It is rarely enough just to say that you need a welder. A welder who excels at MAG welding carbon steel in a workshop is not necessarily the right person for TIG welding stainless steel pipes in a factory. The more precisely you describe the job, the better the match.
Process
State the welding process, preferably with the process number:
- MMA, also known as stick welding (111)
- MAG with solid wire (135) or flux-cored wire (136)
- MIG (131)
- TIG (141)
Material
Carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium or other materials. Also mention material thicknesses and dimensions, if you know them.
Position and workpiece
Plate or pipe, fillet welds or butt welds, and which positions the welding is done in, e.g. PA, PB, PC or PF. Pipe welding in fixed positions often calls for a particularly experienced welder.
Certificates to DS/EN ISO 9606
Welder certificates are typically issued to DS/EN ISO 9606, where part 1 covers steel and part 2 aluminium. The certificate shows which process, material groups, positions and dimensions the welder is approved for.
Ask to see the certificate, and check that it is valid and covers the job. If you work to EN 1090, or your customer has special requirements, let us know so we can take it into account from the start.
WPS and documentation
Many welding jobs are carried out to a WPS (welding procedure specification), which describes how the weld is to be made. If you have a WPS, please send it with your booking. Also tell us whether traceability, NDT inspection or other documentation is required.
Welding at the customer's site
If welding is to be done outside a permanent welding workshop, for example on a construction site or in an existing building, many insurance companies require the welder to have completed a hot work course (kursus i varmt arbejde). Also remember a fire watch and screening.
Welding fumes and the working environment
Welding fumes are harmful to health, and welding stainless steel in particular requires attention. Make sure there is local extraction or air-fed respiratory protection, and discuss hearing and eye protection if there will also be grinding.
More than the welding itself
If the welder also needs to prepare workpieces, read drawings, tack up, straighten or grind afterwards, mention it. Many welders have experience as metalworkers or fitters, and then we can look for a profile that covers the whole job.
What we need to know
- process, material, dimensions and positions
- workshop or on-site work
- whether you provide welding equipment, wire and gas
- requirements for certificates, WPS and documentation
- working hours, start date and expected duration
Bemandix as your partner
The welder may be employed by us or come from an approved partner company. You have one contact person, and we present a specific proposal before anything is agreed.
